It's about our daughter, who was 4.5 years old at the time:
We set off 3 days earlier from home into the unknown, with our car and trailer “Wohni”. Our direction was roughly south.
In the months before, we had broken up and handed over our old apartment, stored all our belongings, stayed with my mom for a while and planned the last steps before leaving.

It was cold and rained almost non-stop (early April 2023). Now we had “finally” set off, had found a place at the edge of the forest and yet many things were exhausting: cooking in the cramped caravan, everything clammy, the children unsettled.

My daughter was explicitly homesick and we tried to call her beloved grandma. She was unavailable (conflict content “wanting to have hearing lumps at all costs”, concerning the right-sided entodermal middle ear mucosa). Neither was the other grandma, nor grandpa. In the end, at least my brother/her uncle answered the phone and thus a familiar voice. That relaxed her a little.

Shortly before falling asleep, we “made up” (I was also tense and in doubt as to whether we were doing the right thing) / tickled / laughed and then Grandma called back. Then she fell asleep.
We were still sitting outside and heard her crying about 1.5 hours later. She complained of stabbing pains in her right ear, cried and was awake for about 2-3 hours. So this was the conflict-resolved phase of the previously briefly activated special program.
We made onion bags, held her in our arms and confirmed her homesickness. She was much better the next morning.
